Program Overview

B.Com or Bachelor of Commerce is an undergraduate degree in commerce (or business) and related subjects. The Bachelor of Commerce degree is designed to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills, while at the same time building competence in a particular area of business. Most universities therefore, plan the degree such that in addition to their major, students are exposed to general business principles, taking courses in accounting, finance, business management, human resources, (business) statistics, marketing, and economics

Value of BCom Degree

Commerce is one of the most important streams of education in India. BCom Curriculum

B.Com or Bachelor of Commerce - A number of subjects can be studied under discipline of Commerce in conjugation like; Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Business Economics, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Income Tax, Auditing, Business Finance, Business Law, Marketing.

B.Com has the duration of three years consisting six semesters. Each academic year shall comprise two semesters starting from July-August to December and January to June. The university conducts the examination at the end of each semester. For each subject paper 70 marks allotted for university exam and 30 marks for internal assessment. Language papers - 80 marks allotted for university exam and 20 marks for internal assessment.

MBA Application Process

  • Applications will be available from May 2017 onwards for the academic year JUL 2017 – MAY 2020.
  • Download the application form from the website https://www.lorven.college/admissions/ or collect the application form from the college directly by remitting Rs 300/-
  • Fill the application and hand it over at the college office in person or through post.
    • Note: if the application form is downloaded directly from the website then a DD worth Rs 300/- has to be attached along with the application form.
  • Selection will be based on merit.

Requirements to Apply

  • A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 or any other equivalent examination with Commerce as one of the subject.
  • Seats will be allocated on merit.
